Info from Facebook's French Creek State Park.
The 6' drawdown on Hopewell Lake will start on April 15th 2019. The lake is being drawn down to perform maintenance and repairs on the dam breast, spillway and control tower. Due to the ever changing conditions, fishing and boating will be affected. Fish and boat at your own risk. The work being performed is long overdue and will have a long-term, positive impact on the lake and the natural resources. The projects are expected to be completed by June 2019 , at which time the lake will be re-filled as precipitation permits. Please contact the park office for the latest updates or if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Thanks for the info! I assume that means that the work on Scotts Run must be almost finished.

I asked what they are doing on their F/B page --- wouldn't think they need to do much maintenance since the lake was drained + repaired back in the late 80's... so far no answer.

April 25 , 2019 Hopewell looks normal today. I don't see any sign of a draw down. From French Creek State park on Facebook -"POSTPONED This draw down has been postponed for a few weeks to address an issue that has arose. The draw down should happen early May."

Drove by Hopewell Lake today around 11am. I hope theres a refund on the Mooring permit fees? Should not have to pay to keep boat in dry dock.
