Waded right off the parking lot yesterday at lunch(yes I know it was cold...). I used a Berkley Lightning, a 1/16 jig head and a orange curly tail. Caught 15 perch in the hour, great time catching fish in Feb.
When your in the lot, go to the middle. You will see a large rock towards the bank, there are cattails right there. The perch were in 2' of water, about 5' from the cat tails. I released them all.
Air temp was ~38, maybe a 5mph wind pushing towards that side of the lake.

Sounds awesome surprised no walleye among the perch. You a brave man to Wade in this weather I received insulated waders from Santa this year. I always move super slow keeping a steady base. Last thing I want to do is trip. I stay real close to shore also just in case my feet start getting cold, which is how I know its time to get out of the water.

Perch going crazy in North East MD also. not easy to find 9in keepers tho but if you time it right crappie running good as well. Smallest ones are 10in and easy to get at least 6
