A discussion about a musky catch at Marsh Creek seems to have wandered off course and includes a lot of talk about the purported existence of a Macaroni Grill in Downingtown (my bad... I asked first). Until someone produces some "Patterson Film" that shows evidence of such a thing, I'll remain a skeptic. But - as the discussion goes, some of the town's movers & shakers are going to look into whether we OUGHT to have a Macaroni Grill in our town. I, for one, reject the idea of yet another large chain restaurant. I would love to see more along the lines of Anthony's, Amani's, Green Street, or yes, even the Coffee Cup. Let's weigh in here and leave the musky thread for musky talk. What say you?

that entire thread (less your post) is bots/spammers. I reported it but no response to that yet.

Is that place still open on the backside of the lake.... Creekside Inn(maybe). They were on my route way back when I delivered seafood to restaurants..... (that was how I found the back launch... before google/GPS... LOL)

"That place" was Wilson's and the Blue Heron. That restaurant has been out of business for several yrs (maybe 10)....they have folks living in rooms above the restauraant.

There's a nice little place across the street from it now at the old garage. Faraway Farms - good sandwiches and baked goods.

As a Chester county resident for the past 27 yrs and a Phila area resident my entire life, I can state the Phila area is blessed with many great non-chain restaurants. From diners to high end establishments, there's food and a budget to match everyone's lifestyle. In Downingtown I recommend P'omodoro, Amani, Coffee Cup and Happy Days diner.
