I believe I saw one of the mythical walleye in the spillway of the dam at marsh creek a few years ago. Good sized fish too. Makes me think the ones that remain in marsh are in the deepest water.
As far as struble, the fish commission says they pull up plenty when doing their research. Maybe we're all just doing something wrong

I forget actual total but I'm confident in saying 30,000 walleye have been stocked in struble since the year 2000 according to game commission website. I say reason more people don't catch them is bcuz soon as walleye fishing gets good they pull the boat docks and shore access sucks compared to when I was kid. as a kid me and my family caught plenty of walleye out of there. that was early and mid 80s if anyone wondering

There was no dock back when I last fished down there I just beached my boat on the left side of the ramp ... can't you do that anymore ?
They've been stocking them walleyes since the place opened. I was there twice in the 90's when the truck pulled in. Closest I ever came to catching one .. LOL

I guess depends on size of the boat to do like you icemole. And there use to be parking just before the boat parking lot on the left. You could fish almost the whole shoreline from the dam to the parking lot.

I was wondering if anyone was at the lake lately, kind of curious how the ice looks. Hoping everything freezes back up after the next couple of days.

I was on the ice yesterday when the ice boat accident happened. I was one of two people to call 911. When I called he had not yet gotten out of the water. The ice was 4-5 inches thick on 75% of the lake and there was not much open water, only near the dam. Everyone on the ice was trying to help, someone had a rope to try and get him out but by the time they got there he was already out.
