Went out Saturday AM; air temps were 39 and water temp 56 when we got to the lake. Other than towards the end of our trip we had the lake to ourselves. Fished for about 3 hours without a bite. We decided to head to a different part of the lake and we found success. The normal arsenal of baits did not produce; but tying on a jerkbait was the ticket. Nothing huge caught but we managed a few in the 15" range. But I'll take it; just the fact that we were out fishing in November was a treat in itself. It honestly wasn't too bad temp-wise; it all depends on bringing the proper attire. I did need to get my feet wet when launching and retrieving the bass boat but that's why my duffel bag had extra shoes and warm socks packed. Once the wind kicked up it made fishing the jerkbaits a little more difficult as far as hitting individual spots so we didn't stay much past noon.

Sounds like a good day! Always nice to be able to get out there during the colder months.
