Only when we have low water(not this year) and I can wade out to the outside edges. Not sure where you were on the east side but other than Peters Creek area most of the pads are in pretty shallow water. I will fish some of those areas pre spawn(March- mid April) for bass especially if there is an old road there and also in late fall if there is a little creek dumping in. I quit fishing for bass in mid April until the season reopens in June. Late April + May is crappie time.. LOL. Summer time bassin I prefer the grass beds.

Oh yeah. Sorry I forgot to respond. Thanks for the info. Yeah I have duck hunted it. Probably will again this year. I'd love to ice fish it.

We duck hunted that area pretty hard back in the 80's-90's. Several of those blinds were our handy work. After the crew spilt up(work, marriage, life... LOL) most of them fell into disrepair. Don't know if anyone has "refurbished" any of them or not.
Not so good ice fishing that area much of it is pretty shallow and feature less. On the far side out from Kindts you have the "sunken bridge" - good for crappie(mostly small anymore) and it used to be the spot for cats although they are pretty widespread now.
