My 1st boat experience at Chambers went as follows. Friend I met there took me out on his boat. We targeted yellow perch and crappie. I caught lots of nice bluegill only kept 5 quite a few bass 11in and under man that's a fun fight on microlight and 4lb test. Caught 1 small crappie at the dock at night while loading boat up. My friend caught 1 nice crappie and few just short yellow perch oh also a catfish. Was a fun day and we learned where to start fishing next time. we plan on hitting Jersey in a few weeks for some brackish water fishing. Oh we had jigs minnows and worms

Yea never realized there are benches on the other side of the lake with shore fishing access. Very long walk but might be worth it. Didn't catch anything worthy from the boat launch to the dam

I've seen a fair amount of shore fisherman on the big rock piles across from the boat ramp too so I think there is a path around the whole lake. Never had any luck along that stretch from the boat launch to the dam either. I don't have a fishfinder on my kayak but it seems like a slow sloping flat until the rocks start near the dam.

Spring time from where the rocks start to the dam is awesome for crappie. That's my favorite stretch boat launch side. I did really well this spring there. Last year this time to the left of the boat launch it was dry land where all the red flag markers are. I did well there last fall from shore.

Yea those rocks really draw them in when its starting to warm up. Definitely very shallow near those flags so I could see how that could dry up. Seems like the dropoff from that flagged area back into the main lake would hold fish but I haven't had any luck there. Then again I don't fish chambers very often so that doesn't help.
