An AWESOME morning out on the lake with my Son. We got to the lake around 6:30 AM and fished until 9:45 AM. We landed 26 Bass between us (me 17 and him 9). It was also a BEAUTIFUL morning to be on the lake weather-wise. But by 10:00 the lake was an absolute zoo; the parking lot was full and trailers were starting to park in the grass. Even the non trailer parking was full with Kayaks and they too were filling up the grass as well. I can't say I have seen the lake quite that busy very many times. With all the boat and kayak traffic it was time to come in for the day. The biggest Bass we caught was right around 2-1/2 pounds; so nothing great but a SUPER FUN morning. Also, after we pulled out of the parking lot to head home we passed many vehicles with kayaks heading towards the lake. I would have loved to stay out longer than we did due to the morning success; but that lake was way overloaded with traffic for its small size.

Sounds like you got out of there just in time haha. That's a lot of bass in a short amount of time!

Yes; it was just one of those charmed mornings out on the water. I had two on my first three casts. About 15 minutes later my son caught three on three consecutive casts; it was an AWESOME morning. Too bad the lake got so packed with traffic; I am thinking the way things were going I could have easily broken a lake record for myself. Oh well.....it was time to go home and cookout some burgers and dogs on the grill for the 4th anyway : )
