Son and I got there late morning and had a good day bass fishing. Smallest Lgmouth was 14". Years ago Struble was like that. Nothing but nice size bass, though not great numbers. Biggest was 18". BUT, We started noticing dead panfish right away, not a lot at first, but then we could actually see them struggling just below the surface and then as you looked out there was just dead fish everywhere. Almost all Sunny/Bluegills and a very few crappies. Most had a fungus around their mouth or gills. This kind of thing just happens. Old enough to have seen it many times on many waters. We got the idea to ditch the bluegill pattern lures we usually use and went to other lures. We both ended up using Gold Colored lures and that caught most of the bass.
