I wouldn't say I panfish(crappie) hard ...LOL. They fill a void for me. I do not fish for musky, walleye or bass during the spawn for those fish.. Walleye closed mid March came back "in" May 6th in the old days musky used to follow the same days, bass used to close mid April and reopen mid June. So mid April becomes my crappie(although I do target them again in the fall) and hybrid striper time. Bigger breeder crappie go back in the water but I will keep a few 8-10" for a meal or two. Hybrids are sterile so no issue there. PS... I do post fairly often more giving advice than trips as I have some health issues that limit my fishing. In addition to fishing about 250 days a year from the 80's until my issues - I worked(managed) in a tackle shop for a few years(mid 90's) and fished tourneys - the old Goodtimes and Anglers Choice trails in the mid Atlantic region as well as the BM buddy T's and the Tuesday nighters even won a few on BM... LOL. I'll be fishing in the TNT's on BM this year for the first time. I'll take any advice you have to give on fishing those, haha!

I offered to "guide" you around a bit.... so far you haven't taken the bait LOL. Lake is getting busy now I was surprised by how many(8-10) were at the State Hill launch before 6am.
