I was certainly hoping for a better day on Saturday but with that nasty storm that came through around 3:30 AM I realized that it probably killed the morning bite. I was out on the lake for about 4 hours and managed 3 bass (two LM and one SM). So the storm definitely effected the bite but I still had a great time and caught a few fish. Plus I am still learning all about the new boat so it gave me a chance to play around for a while and put in some more break-in time on the outboard as well. I've gotten to the point where I am getting pretty comfortable with the foot pedal now; so that's good, haha. Water temps were right around 66-67 on the lake so good things should be happening any time now. Blue Marsh is certainly a lot tougher than some of the lakes around but it sure has some great scenery and is a fun lake to test your skills.
