I used to go out on Scotts run and fished it with white muddlers to some success. I just found small spinners worked better and easier.

I haven't been out yet, but a bunch of my friends have and they were doing pretty good before this cold spell. They were fishing the delayed harvest areas in chester county. On another note, I will be tying flies for Gordon's to fill in some of the flies they are out of right now and will continue to help keep them stocked!!
If you don't see what you want feel free to contact me. I've been tying for a little over 30 years and tie everything from trout flies, warmwater flies (panfish to musky), salthingyer, salmon & steelehead flies, as well as classic salmon flies for fishing and for show/frame for your home or office.
Good luck with the snow tomorrow!! Hopefully it will be a slow melt and will give a good boost of water to all of the local waterways.
Tighlines!! Frank Swarner

Unfortunatley I will not be able to attend nor will the anyone from Brandywine Trout and Conservation Club be able to attend since we will be having our annual Free Kids Fishing Clinic at the Moose Lodge in Downingtown that same day.

Well, I have only so many dates to choose from since various locations get booked. This Saturday worked out good for the Kid's clinic since next saturday is the Mentored youth fishing day. After seeing the various presentations they should be pumped up to get outside and catch some trout next saturday!! We will be having our Adopt-a-Highway cleanup the same day as the mentored youth day so it will be a good time for anglers to see us cleaning up and we can interact with those fishing, lend a hand, and let them know about the Brandywine Trout and Conservation Club. The age limit is 15 and under, but it is more geared towards kids 12 and under since most of the teenagers are doing there own thing. Frank
