Drove by all 3 today. All 3 had skim ice, but after tomorrows rain, it may be all gone. Forget ice fishing for the next 2 weeks at least I'd guess.

Anyone drive by marsh today? I got the itch and I'm hoping to get the boat wet Thursday. The Lyndell launch was open on Monday for about 100 yards in all directions. The skim ice was farther out. I'd think it would be more open now.

Nice, good job out there. I am going to try and get my boat out there Saturday. If you wouldnt mind, how many foot of water did you catch those perch in? Trying to figure out if the crappies and perch went deep like they usually do during winter

Trying to figure out if the crappies and perch went deep like they usually do during winter Fishing from the shore so hard to tell depth. I'm guessing 5'-10' tops. 20'-30' out from the shore. Jigging a 2" minnow verrrrry slowly, just a twitch here and there. Some days they're there, some days they're not. It appears the water is still warm enough for them to still be moving around. I'd be curious as to what the water temp is. Have not caught any crappie in months.

Thanks for the info wader. I'm going to try and get my boat out there Saturday and see if I can find them in deep water. I'll post an update with the water Temps when I do.

Ay wader if you wouldn't mind where from shore? If you don't want to give up your honey hole I totally understand.

Ay wader if you wouldn't mind where from shore? If you don't want to give up your honey hole I totally understand. Give up honey hole info? Yeah, that's not gonna happen. However, I will say it's a popular spot with easy access. I was out yesterday and there was a guy parked (chair, thermos, lunch) on "my spot", so I didn't think he was going to give it up very soon. I watched for about 15-20 mins and he wasn't getting anything, but I could tell he was fishing differently than I was the day before. Actually, I was hoping he would get some hits just so I could tell the fish were still there or, at least, on similar spots. So I hit 4 other fav spots and nada - total skunk for the day. Maybe I was putting out too much bad karma because I couldn't get to my #1 spot - don't mess with the fishing gods!!!

Ok you said easy access from shore. Hmmmmm sounds like chalfont rd or across from the swimming pool i can't think of any other fold out chair accessable spots.

Chalfont - maybe, but very limited spots that "old timers" are usually sitting on - god bless them, they've earned it and a good stretch of it is open to hunting. "across from the swimming pool"? - not likely, and i routinely avoid that side when it's open to hunting. Much better access on the Lyndell side and tons of access on the park side from above the park office all the way to Carpenter's. Some really nice platforms have been built up all along the park office side with really easy access.
