Hit Slocum Saturday the 4th.. me and my buddy brought home about 25 crappie and 5 gills and through back twice as many. once we found em the marcum was loaded most of the day... at times from the bottom up atleast 10ft. but they would only hit around a foot off the bottom... as we we packing up the guy near us had a muskie take his crappie on the way up.. he fought it for a solid 5 minutes but it spit the crappie near the hole... awesome day fishing! shoreline was a solid 2.5 inches and everywhere we drilled was 3.5-4 solid black ice. after the weather early this week i dont know if slocum will rebound at all for the rest of hard water.. i would love to give it another shot!.. long drive to get there but an easy drive... also there is a nice little bait shop about 3 miles away
