Saturday my buddy an i made a run north to tobyhanna lake. Fished from 12-430 with minnows on tip ups and jigged minnows and wax worms... day started lifeless in the shallow water... eventually found some deeper water and caught 7 pickerel.. 4 on tip ups.. lost a few more and jigged up 3 pickerel.. all on fatheads.. no bites on waxies ... around 6 inches of ice everywhere.. Felt awesome to scratch that itch! im ready for something more local!.. i read a report Antietam was capped yesterday even with the weather the way it was. my buddy drove past scotts run last week and that was locked up.... hopefully the weather will be in our favor and start building some safe ice!
