Got skunked today, brought my nymph rod and gear, wished I had more dries, always the case.
Going to hit it again next weekend.

Going to hit it again next weekend. i haven't been on the tully in a couple years, but when the nymphs and dries aren't working, i usually go to the wooly bugger - green or black, small coneheads. what section were you fishing?

I was walking the shore of the lake last evening looking for Stripers(failed) but did see some mayfly looking bugs flitting around. Wouldn't call it a hatch but more than I expected to see in mid Nov.

Usually I fly fish for trout, but when things got tough, I broke out the spin rod. Trout love senkos.

Beautiful day on the Tully today; huge hatch, matched it with #24 blue winged olives. We caught a few of these guys; small, but pretty. Check out the paw marks, on this baby bow.

At one time that was all they stocked in there. Made for some feisty fish as they grew up.

made a trip Sunday after the feast, low flow kinda crowed but not bad. Caught three bows under the 422 overpass and then ran up to the tail race of the dam and caught two more. The second from the race was a fingerling didn't notice any fins clipped and wanted to get it back in the h2o in short order. so not sure if stocked or stream borne, will have to check the pfbc stocking schedule. I really like to bounce small glo bugs in rainbow territory, never seems to fail and it took all five fish.
