Was thinking about mostly walleye fishing from shore near 472 bridge and in the rocks near the boat launch. From what I have seen online looks like fairly deep water access. Anyone interested in joining me? Easier to fish with a buddy

Oh forgot to mention I have a portable fish finder that does work so if I'm not marking fish no need to stay long. Only thing it doesn't tell me which fish they are. I'm figuring by fishing minnows only thing I won't catch is sunfish and shad

Didn't get there as early as I wanted family issues. Saw a crappie caught near the bridge as we were driving to the tackle shop. Looked like it was 14in easy and we were quite a distance away. Tackle shop said early morning crappie bite is on. I didn't like water depth near tackle shop but plan on fishing near the bridge when water gets colder.

never been to octoraro. other than the two spots you mention, are there many areas to access from the shore or wading?

Not a expert on octorara so I suggest going to the tackle shop there on the lake. They are very very helpful and have a depth chart map available. I guess compared to the size of lake it's not a lot of shore fishing but if you are willing to walk you can definitely walk a good distance from your car then dread the walk back when done.
