Poked around a little yesterday near the dam. The wind was relentless, but I managed to catch a few small gills and perch and a spunky 13" bass. (Jig with worms) Then I went over to Coatesville Res. and hammered small white perch til I got bored.

Surprised no crappie at Chambers? Did you keep all the white perch at the Cvlle resivoir? Those things are ruining the place

No but I should have kept some whites. Fishing was on the down low (spouse)so couldn't keep any if I wanted. Perhaps I'll remove some through the ice and have a little fish fry too. I'm fairly new to the immediate area, but have seen the damage white perch can do to a lake.

Well let me tell you from 40yrs experience of fishing the resivoir. The size of all the panfish have been greatly affected. Even down to the point fish not as thick as they use to be. So sometimes I go there just to target white perch and since I love the taste of white perch I keep them all. Ice fishing is where I really notice the difference in size and thickness of the panfish. I'm just getting off work with as warm as it might get today I might hit Chambers later
