Well it looks like the docks have been removed; the water is dropping to Winter pool and the water temps are down near 60 degrees......could there be anything better than a Fall trip out onto Blue Marsh right now. Just thinking about it is getting me excited for the weekend. Those Blue Marsh Bass love the falling water level and they should be out in full force hunting for food. I've got a new bait to try out which I think could be the ticket for some great success on the lake right now (no; not a whopper plopper, haha); I guess we'll see if I am correct. I have a few spots mapped out already where I am thinking the Bass should be loading up in search of food. Stay tuned for a report by the end of the weekend. Anyone else planning a trip out onto the lake?

I think they are a little confused right now. 3 weeks ago when the water was down there were signs of life - baitfish and fish busting them. Then 2 weeks ago the water came back up and it was like the dead sea - no baitfish along the shore and nothing busting out yonder. Now this week the water is dropping again. I was over earlier this week(dead sea) and again this morning, this morning there was some activity. Pretty cool the past week or two in the mornings so that may be a factor too might have to switch to evenings. I got 2 this morning 1 keeper LM at spot A, nothing at B, then picked up a dink LM at C, continued to D nada - thought I'd do better at D as there are some rock piles that were sunk there.

Thanks for the report Icemole......I guess I'll just go at it all or nothing this weekend, haha!I had good success the other week when the levels dropped. Then when it filled back up again I still had success but caught about half as many as I did with the low water. Here's hoping for a successful day this weekend. When the water level was dropped I had more success on bare banks than I did fishing any type of cover or structure. When the lake filled back up the Bass were back on some sort of cover again.
