Another "successful" trip out to the lake on Saturday. Of course there was -0- forecast for rain and it started raining so needless to say I was not prepared. But the rain seemed to turn the bite on a bit (while it was raining). I caught and released 5 bass in about 4 hours of fishing which is a successful day on that lake. The largest went 17" and the smallest came in at 14" so not too bad. Just like the previous week; all bass were shallow. The 17" bass came from about 12" of water on a stump in the rain. After the rain stopped so did the bite. I fished shallow and mid-depths after the rain but no success after that. But overall a good morning; nothing like Sunday on Chambers but I caught a few quality fish.

My buddy called yesterday afternoon - wanted to try chasing stripers. Way too many "others" out tearing up the lake for them to be active. I had two dink bass on - both jumped and spit the Rat-L-trap back at me - guess I need to sharpen the hooks LOL. That was our only action - fished from 4-6:30 ish.
