Took the fly rod out yesterday but not for trout. Put a 16 lb leader on the 5 wt and a crazy Charlie fly. Hit the tulpehocken where I had seen some carp stacking up last week. Didn't take long to have one suck it up. Only caught one. Wandered downstream but there was fishermen wherever I saw more carp. Didn't want to crowd anyone. I have video but still waiting for my internet to get hooked up.

OK my first thought is Carp fishing in the Tully!? That's sacrilege!
Once I'm over my purest snobbery.... That pig on a 5 WT, wow that must have been a blast! I would love to see that

Ha, yeah in the middle of a caddis hatch. I've been hitting it a couple times a week since I moved nearby. Figured I would try something different. I'll put the video up when my local cable company decides to hook up my internet. Next time I'll take the 8 wt.

Yeah 16 lb leader and tippet. That and the light rod took the punishment. Had to use two hands at some points.

Well that answers my question. I was the one who commented on it. I was looking to go to the Tully to try to find some butni can't locate them like last year. Nice fish!
