That is great news!
I know there has been stream born trout in the DHAO because of the cold water Springs. I hadn't heard of other wilds being caught anywhere else in the EB in decades.

Oh that is pretty cool then. I also heard about them in The delayed harvest.

"Wild" browns have been caught in the brandywine for many years. Not big numbers of them but they do survive. Some of the tribs that enter the brandywine from glenmoore down to downingtown have pretty good year round water temps and have great habitat for reproduction. "Wild" brook trout have also been caught in Beaver Creek from time to time.

Wow Frank, I would never guessed Beaver Creek. I know of a few streams in the area with wilds like Hay and Indian (and some others that can't be made public) but it's great to hear about wild trout in Chester County.

Do rainbows ever reproduce around here? I Think I caught 1 in beaver creek many years ago was same size if not smaller than the brown in the picture

I don't know of any rainbows reproducing around here. I have only caught stream born rainbows up state, in NY and WV.
I would be very interested in hearing if there were some in Chester County.

I heard of a few "wild" rainbows caught over the years and have seen them do their spawning rituals in the spring. Usually hear more about the browns.
