Just wondering if anyone has been out on Blue Marsh yet? I saw on their FB page a few guys were out last weekend and did fairly well with the smallies on the main lake. Two weeks ago water temps were reported in the high 30's; just wondering after this week of warm temps how much it's warmed up? Anyone headed out there tomorrow? I'm thinking I may still be a few weeks out before I hit the lake.

water is in the low 50's ..clear down lake & murky uplake. Slow presentation is the key until the bass warm up slightly. Get out and start exploring!!

we went out today and got 6 bass; 2 Smallies that were weighed at over 4 pounds and 2 smallies over 3 pounds, a LG around 3 and the rest were under 15"... My Net Boy let a HUGH walleye flop out of the net... honestly it was at least 12 pounds. Water is cleaner and warmer than last week.

I thought they only had hybrid stripers in Blue Marsh?

Beautiful fish! Never got one that big, but have caught some very nice fish at B/M. My problem at B/M is that it will give up a good fish, then slap you in the face with a skunk for the next few trips. I can never put a pattern together. Just don't fish it regularly enough.

Nice striper - they stocked both until 2010 - since then only hybrids - IDK why. I got that skunk on Saturday -- well almost I did get a softball sized rock on a jerkbait - sadly it wasn't gold

icemole; that's a typical day at BM isn't it, HAHA! Hopefully once I get out on the lake armed with other folks knowledge (and a little studying on my own) I won't have too many skunky days there : )

We were going for bass and just happened into a school of hybrids and that 1 striper. Blue marsh is a humbling lake. Using jerkbaits.
