i would think over the last couple days struble should be frozen.. now how thick that is a different story lol .. but i do not believe the weatherman either...

just talking to iceman,,,,he is at struble now,,,he says not yet,,,ice is good out to about 40 yrds, then its only about 1 inch thick,,,also said there are patches of open water,,,the rock went thru the ice at 45 yrds,,,,,close,but not yet fellas

just about the time its fishable on fri evening,,,,the snow will mess things all up,,,,,were struggling this year,ugh

No problem panfish, We need a continued deep freeze to get that ice at Struble to stiffen up and grow because the wind isn't given it a change to form, alot of open patches of water. I was able to walk out about 40 yards, if that, then it's thin or open. It's getting late in the Season, if the ice doesn't form in the next few weeks it just isn't going to happen. I'm getting ready for a road trip if there is no ice soon!

Thanks for the info iceman. Right when we get close the weather looks like it may turn sour. I checked a couple small lakes and ponds today that were frozen over but were only about an inch and a half thick. Be careful anyone who ventures out to check any ice thickness. I wanna be out there as much as anyone but the ice is sketchy at best right now

the chunk has open water on the deeper half of the lake but a solid 5 inches from B launch up into the cove also saw some coves on Antietam have 3-4 of solid black ice people have been fishing.... once the weather man screws up the snow forecast i think im going to try mauch chunk

just saw a report b launch 7 inches but once you pass that first point to the left i havnt heard anyhting about good ice toward the deep water.. but you will have no problem around b launch heard the fishing has been slow though..

Here is a report for Ontalaunee from another board yesterday:
was out yes morn. edges were flooded out again. ice was still about 6 in. fishin was slow. nothin on tips n small white perch n a couple of yellows jiggin. saw the eagle fillin his stomach on white perch layin on the ice. shud b good for w end w cold nights next 2 days. if u get out just watch 4 old holes that opened up to about 10 -12 in or more. b safe and good luk. later! :tipup:l
