Fished the lake on Tuesday, 9/15/15, great weather, not a cloud in sky. Used a fly rod from a kayak entire time was on the water. Fished from about 10:30 to 3:30, only landed one pickerel and had a few other bites, but nothing to hand. Water was very clear and a bit on the warm side.

I found that the pickerel LOVE white 1/8 oz. mini king buzzbaits on that lake. I went down one day last year (took a 1/2 day off work) and fished from about 1:30 PM until 4:00 or so and caught 12 pickerel; all on the white buzzbait. Most of them were caught in the very upper end of the lake in very shallow water (had to pull the motor and break out the paddle for the boat). Just look for the small patches of weeds (very easy to spot in the super clear water) in the very upper end of the lake (about 12" of water); that's where they hang out. You'll catch one or two casting along the shoreline as you travel to the upper end of the lake, but not very many. Most pickerel were in the 12" range; nothing very big but still a lot of fun.

I'll have to try that with the fly rod. Maybe some gurglers. That would be fun.
