The water was clear up to 5' and 69degrees. Lots of action mostly under the overhanging trees and all very close to shore. Hadn't fished this lake and was on a limited time opportunity but will definetly be going back soon. Senkos of black and watermelon were working well and was told by a local that topwaters were getting productive. Bait shop guy was very helpful as to where to go and what was producing and provided a map which was a big help. Got a mixed bag of 2-3 lbs and lots of smaller hitting every few casts.

I was also there on sunday. I caught them really good on a popper for an hour and a half then it was dead. I was able to pick them up again pitching a creature, but that was not nearly as exciting as the topwater action. I'm heading out tomorrow!

In addition to the fish biting it was really enjoyable being on a lake on a Sunday with very few boats around.
