Has anyone been down to Hopewell recently? I am just wondering if we are getting close to ice-out yet? I know last year it was cleared off a little quicker than the other lakes. Once the ice is clear I realize water temps will be COLD; but I just need to get out and wet a line, haha!

Hopewell still is covered with ice as of today. Scotts Run is about 75% open. See video www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykFaKIq2YiA A few trout were caught today with the youth mentoring program. |

Joe, thank you very much for sharing those videos; great stuff. I would imagine if we can stay in the high 40's or low 50's the rest of that ice will be gone shortly. I cannot wait to get the boat back out on Hopewell; I love that little lake in the early Spring!

No ice on Hopewell or Scotts Runn, in French Creek State park. Beautiful day today.

Hopefully (weather permitting); I will be out there on the lake next weekend. Any word as to whether the dock was put back in yet?
