Anyone heading to Scotts Run early next week? I thinking of giving trolling a shot from my kayak on Tuesday. It's a small lake but if I make more than two passes I'll be shocked...and I haven't even put on my holiday weight. Any presentation work better than others for rainbow?

No takers? I'm just stubborn enough to go anyway, so I'm taking orders for the trout hoagies I'll be selling come Wednesday.

Next year I'll make sure I get the trout stamp so I can add this lake to the list worth trying. I'm sick of MC at the moment and I'm at the point of trying some different places.

I was able to get away from the office and was there when the trout hit the water just before 1pm. 1600 adult rainbow were dropped in at various locations but most went in near the dock. Overall a very smooth operation by the PA DCNR personnel, major kudos to those involved.
Small spinners and powerbait on drop shot seemed to be the right choice, however they were a little shy and more interested in getting acclimated. I left at 2:30pm and only 5 or 6 had been caught, leaving a bunch for the rest of us.

OK, when at first you don't succeed... Finally hit on a rebel tracdown minnow. Saw a few more taken on a fly and bobber setup as well as various powerbait rigs. They are thick in the shallows and jumping everywhere, but being very particular.
