I sure hope so!! I had a blast last year on MC and Struble. Might take a trip to the poconos this season for a change of scenery. Nothing like grilling dogs, sausage, and burgers on the ice!!

If anyone knows were to pick up a used flasher cheap I would be interested. Nothing special just a starting point to help learn some new areas

There are plenty on ebay but most are new and the ones that are used are still a bit pricey. I bought a new hummingbird ice 35 on sale last year from thorne brothers and they included the soft cover for free. Very happy with the performance although it is my first flasher.

iceman got a Marcum showdown troller series compact flasher last year,,,i got to check it out on marsh creek fishing with him,,its a very nice strait forward easy to use machine, and its much smaller than the 5.6 showdown that I have, and has most of the features of a full size unit,,,i think they are around 200-250 bucks,,,,thats pretty cheap as far as ice flashers go. if you get one,,make sure to get the soft cover for it,,makes it a lot nicer.

I got my Marcum Showdown troller for $139, new. I also ordered the Showdown Soft pack for $29.99 and I recommend the rechargeable battery, altho it will run on 6 AA batteries, but you will go thru alot of batteries, I had to borrow batteries from Panfishin one time while we were out there. I just got a rechargeable battery $29.99 for the upcoming season. Final total $200.00, money well spent, unit is flawless and improved my fishing immensely! Check out Marcumtech.com . Panfishing, you won't regret that heater, mine got me thru a bitter cold gun hunt in NY. Remind me to show you pictures of the giant black bear I took with the Bow in NY. Now I'm ready to marcum!!

Have patience Tim. remember we didn't get onto the ice last year until after Christmas and proceeded to have one of the longest ice fishing seasons in recent years. On another note, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Also, be safe when the time comes for walking out on the lakes.....SOON? ??
