I am thinking of going catfish fishing at struble lake from my kayak some night week and I was wondering if any of you had tips on where to go when the fish bite and how deep to fish ect. Thanks for your help!

Channel cats love wood so the stumps in the back of the lake, any trees or branches in the water would be good. I would use small hooks for channels in a lake. They like to nibble. Don't be afraid to fish shallow. They won't be sitting in deep water at night.

When you mention stumps at the back of the lake are you referring the area to the left of the tunnel? Any clue how large that stump field is in there? Just wondering how far out in the lake it comes and how far down shore as well? Any info would be appreciated.

Facing the tunnel, the stumps I've run into are to the right.....is that where you mean? Seems like the cover an area of half a football field or so....very shallow and gotten stuck in the john boat back there -- easy to paddle out...tough to motor. caught small bass in there but nothing noteworthy.

You mean where the water is about 2 ft deep for what seems like forever? Interesting; shows how much I know about Struble then, huh? HAHA! I figured they were in 3-5 ft of water to the left (if you were facing the tunnel)

There's some stumps over in this area. I've seen plenty of cats in that area of the purple pin while bowfishing.
