A few places close are Stuble, Marsh Creek, Hopewell Lake, and Scott's Run Lake. Since you're new to this, I would suggest Struble lake fishing for pan fish. They are usually the easiest to catch and you learn a lot along the way as you fish. Not sure what kind of lures you may have but I would suggest a Swedish pimple or teardrop jigs. I myself have used very small shad darts with success in the past as well. Tip these with wax worms, my personal favorite,or meal worms. I have the best luck fishing just off the bottom and if you have a flasher, sometimes crappies are suspended a few feet off the bottom so you would lift your lure to them. The rest is basically just wait and see what works for you. Fortunately for you most of the ice fishermen around here are a friendly bunch and would be glad answer any questions you may have while out fishing. Two warnings-Make sure the ice you're fishing is safe and second, this sport is very addicting and you may fall behind your work at home! Best of luck, be safe, and welcome to the crowd.
