Im going to Marsh Monday and scotts run tomorrow but anyway, i was wondering at what depth the perch were bitting and also if any walleye were hitting, i was thinking of working twister tails down by the dam and seeing what i might be able to get into (walleye possible perch) Also, does anyone know what i could catch on a castmaster in the lake, i have some trout/smallmouth kastmasters im want to try. Finally, this might be a far strech but I have only caught one cat in Marsh and it was a healthy 5 pounder but i was wondering where is a good place to catch trout, Any reports of CRappies?

Jeff, the only thing I've heard is that it's been slow lately. Sorry I don't have any good info for you but maybe with this warm spell they will get a little more active. Good luck if you go and give us a report.

Was out about a week ago and managed to hook into a few very nice size perch while looking for bucketmouth. Every perch we picked up was down near the park entrance on the side opposite the road. Depth wise we were getting hit in 3-5'. We were shocked, but at least the perch gave us something to play with. The big boys seemed to have slowed down. Our perch were snatched on tubes, tiki's and two came on LARGE spinnerbaits...go figure?

I have been having next to no luck for the large mouth at marsh Creek over the past three weeks. I did catch two on Sunday flipping a jig into heavy cover. I have seen a lot of guys around the lake fishing for crappie and having some success. Personally I have never fished for them. How do you go about doing so? I know this is a stupid question but I would rather ask and catch some fish then figure it out on my own. I bought some crappie jigs. What is the technique? Should I use a bobber? I have a fish finder that I bought a month ago and I still have not had any luck actually locating fish on it then catching them. It is an eagle cuda 128. From what I have read it should help. What should I look for to locate schools of crappie? Should I use the fish ID mode or just the sonar? Thanks for the info.
