Hello,
I am pretty new to the sport of bass fishing and i have had a lot of luck at the lake over the past summer fishing into the banks. However when they seem to go else where or to the deep I am totally lost and end up not catching a thing. Does anyone out there have any advice as to good deep spots to try on the lake? Also what technique should be used. Drop Shotting, deep cranking? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

vanmc, I don't use crank baits much but there is usually a good crank bait bite at Marsh Creek and a lot of other places in the fall. The few bass I've caught this fall at Marsh Creek have been on the Drop Shot rig in 5 to 10 feet of water around scattered weeds. This time of year the bass can be any where from shallow to deep. I would start shallow and work my way out to deeper water. Hope this helps,

Swing by Gordans and grab a topo map. Look for deep points and fish them with deep cranks, dropshots and carolina rigs. There are a few down by the dam and there is a little hump down there as well that I would target. I haven't fished MC that much, but in general, that's what I'd do.
