I lost my taste for killing a few years back and stopped hunting, but I thought I would pass on the info. I saw in The Local tonight. Some may have known about it, others may not have. Some guys I know kill so many Deer, that they run out of room to keep it, and the meat they do keep, ends up staying in the freezer 'till it gets burned. The article is titled" Food bank offers outlet for hunters unloading venison". Here's the Cliff's: In the past, hunters who participated in the program saw thier donations distributed to Phila. food centers. Now it can be given directly to County residents. You can take your Deer to one of 4 local participating butchers, pay a nominal fee, and the organization pays the balance. For more info. the article directs readers to www.sharedeer.org.
