Were you by the dam or up by the trees on the other side? A man who fishes this a lot told me that the bigger perch hit in the early am only near the dam. I tried the other day in the am but only managed the crappies.

The dink perch and 1 crappie was near the dam in the middle of the afternoon. The one big perch was in open water in the middle of the lake near the new ice line.
Oh yea, forgot to say in my report that an eagle landed on the ice. I see so many now its not a big deal, first one on the rez though.

Lost a huge gator today on Marsh after a 20 minute battle on my jiggin rod. Surprised such a big fish hit a small panfish jig. Straightened out my hook trying to get him at the hole. I need too get a gaff. My buddy got a nice 13-14 inch crappie (his first ice fish). I got a few more that I could have kept and throw in some small perch and bluegills for good measure.
Get out there before the ice is gone.

Dont know. But I think you can. I got on in the cul-de-sac in the that subdivision, the one where you turn at that gas place. Nice of the home owners to allow that. Does anyone think we will hang onto the ice till Saturday?
