Fished Marsh this evening from 5:30 to 7:15. Water was dead calm,no breeze, lite rain. Only 5 trailers in the lot and 3 or 4 shore fishermen. I was in waders fishing Lyndell side, spinning tackle, started throwing 4" senko's , watermelon , no hit runs or errors! Tried several other colors without sucess. Switched to my confidence lure, Yum 6" watermelon lizard, had a hit first cast. My bad reflexes missed him. Did catch two small 12" fish same area. Moved down lake a little caught one more, same size, before darkness fell. I'll be back tomorow nite to try again, hopefully with a little bigger fish

Same thing here, I fished last Friday from the shore, tried all my standard senko colors and got just one 12" bass. The same spot yielded a 6 fish in an hour back in August with the largest being 4 lbs. Seems like things are slowing down, I would think it should be the other way around. Fish should be moving to the shallows as the weather cools down.

I also fished friday from my kaya. Spent 4 hours on the lake without a bite. I suspect the problem was algae bloom as it covered the lake. First time I've been skunked since early in the spring.

I fished Tuesday morning before tropical storm "Jeanne"hit . I was fishing on the bottom with nightcrawlers. I caught one nice largemouth & numerous perch. The perch ranged in size from 11"to 13". As always, I also caught bluegill, non of which were of any size. It seems the perch are moving in close now that Fall is upon us.

I've had success with the perch just about everywhere I fished. The key is to fish the bottom with nightcralwlers. I've been using a wormthreader which has improved on missed hits & longevity of the worm.Once you get the hang of it, using one is a cinch.

I fished Monday evening from shore with waders. I was using mealworms on a gold hook with a bobber. The bluegills (handsize) started hitting around 6P.M. til dark, the key was to fish just outside the weedbed in open water. The only problem was trying to bring the fish thru the weeds without losing them.
