I got three. Should have brought the 20 gauge for the doves, though. What's everybody using for shot? I had steel BBB's. Friend of mine was using Federal black cloud. I never heard of them before.

I was out on the water. When I got out there around 4 a nice size flock flew off the lake. After that there wasn't really much going on. I heard some in the fields behind me but they never showed themselves. On my way into the dock around 10Am a small flock of about 8 or so came into the lake but didn't comitt to anyones decoys. I am looking forward to getting back out next weekend in the hopes to get one.
I am using Federal Black Cloud 3" number 2 shot. Later in the year i will step it up to BBB 3.5". I have had some good sucess with that Black cloud.

I shot a few doves but didn't go for geese yet. I'm thinking friday will be good before this weather moves in. This time of year I use 2's on geese since they don't have their thick feathers.

Those black clouds are great, they kill birds but i dont use them to much, they dont pattern well outta my gun. Usually im using the Kent FastSteel 3.5 bb for geese, the 1625 fps ones, stone dead kills them. Took me two days to find the doves but i got into them pretty good today. Saw a ton of woodies today out scoutin, duck season cant come fast enough.

Weve got black cloud here at the store for anyone interested in trying it out. Just got a bunch of other steel in as well to start the season. Trying to find some lesser expensive stuff, ammo is getting out of sight anymore. Been out a couple times for dove myself, usually about an hour to quitting time and I'm not seeing much of anything, its been too hot and most of the fields I've been to arent cut yet (corn) Did shoot a groundhog last night though

I am going to try something a little cheaper as well. I have a lot of 3.5" black could left over from last year but I need some 3". I think I may give the Kent Fast steel a try that bigcountry mentioned. I figure I will pick up a box and see how it patterns.

anybody been out lately, shot a few today, been goin out once or twice a week, been pretty consistent with a flock or two a day. They are starting to get smart though, had to leave everything but the fullbodies at home and had to bust out the flappers and the flags. Doves has been picking up pretty good though, shot a bunch on thursday, gonna go back out this afternoon, still tryin to get a banded dove.

I went for teal in maryland. No luck. saw a few flocks though. First time trying that. A guy hunting about 200 yards from us shot some. Built a duck blind on my dads dock. We had lots of geese around us but their season closed on the 15th. At least I know a good spot for next resident goose season.

Thats sucks about the teal, i saw a pack of green wing 2 days ago when i was out dove hunting, doubt they will be around though in 3 weeks. Might be going down for jerseys early season there are usually tons of teal down there. found a new pack of resident geese though yesterday.

heres some pics from maryland. You can use electonic decoys so I had to buy one. It gets crowded down there but most people take boats out to the bay or just walk in 100 yards. I'm ordering a gps so I can go way back for sika and ducks. People get lost back there all the time. There were mallards and black ducks every where.
