Just to remind the hunters out there, that the 2009 hunting licenses will go on sale on July 1st. Why is this important in the middle of summer? The # 1 reason for deer hunters is to be able to get in on the allocation of the doe licences, which applications need to sent in, in early August. This is critical if you plan to harvest a doe this fall. You only get one chance, in many of the popular countys upstate, to obtain a licence in the first round, and they need submited on time. Also Chester county has sold out in previous years before many hunters remembered to apply. At one time there were plenty of licences to go around, but time have changed. YOU NEED TO BUY YOUR LICENSE IN JULY!!! #2 reason for the license is for varmint hunting this summer. Your old license expires on June 30th
