Coming across the "bridge" this afternoon the ice on the lake has increased. The upper end above the bridge is still covered and skim ice has formed as far as I could see down the lake, I then took a ride down Chalfont rd, and the ice was almost to the big rock ! I'm sure it is just a skim on top but this shows the water is cold enough to make ice if the air temps would just stablize and allow it to form some thickness. Hopefully it won't be much longer !

Just got off the lake.Caught a few nice crappies. And a bunch of small perch and bluegills that were not worth keeping. Got a good 5-6 inches of ice on main lake. Cove off chalfont road has some spots you need to watch out for.

I am new to ice fishing and was just was wondering if anybody knows how thick the ice is right around now (Tuesday) at Marsh Creek. I know it was 5-6inches on Friday, but have heard that with this area things can sometimes change quickly. Also was wondering how cold it has to stay for the ice not to melt. This week I think it is supposed to go up into the upper thirties during the day and stay down in the upper teens and twenties at night. How do you guys think this will affect the ice for this weekend?--I would like to get out a bit before the superbowl on Sat or Sun! Any input or advise would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Jason, right now the ice is good and really should stay that way if we don't get rain or more snow and the nights gives us colder temps. There are many times that a step in the wrong direction can bring trouble. Enjoy the sport and be responsible for you own actions.

If your after perch, bluegill or crappie. A swedish pimple and a wax worm are hard to beat. Bass and walleye will also take the pimple

Was just wondering if anyone could give an ice thickness report for marsh creek. I was there a little over a week ago and ice was 6 inches in coves. How much has it melted since then with this warmer weather in the coves and out towards the center? Any reports would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Was just wondering if anyone has been to or looked at Marsh Creek lately and seen what the ice looks like. There was 5-6 inches at Chalfont Rd last Sunday, but I know that this week's rain probably melted most of it. Although it did get cold yesterday and is supposed to be in the low teens tonight and continue next week so maybe there is some hope for a couple end of the season trips. Any info or reports would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Jason I heard there was one guy out on the ice today (02-18-05) off Chalfont Rd. I don't know what the ice conditions are, so if you do decide to give it a try be careful.

Was wondering if anyone knows how the ice is at Marsh right now. I was there last Sunday and it was about 4 inches thick, but had to watch out for some spots. We have had 3 nights in a row now of 20 degree or less temperatures and the days have been struggling to get past the mid 30's, so I am getting curious again. Any reports or info would be appreciated. thanks.
