Drove by Struble this morning and there were three fellas with an ice shanty up and fishing the lake. They were about a 100 yds to the right of the boat launch, fishing close to the stump fields there. The ice has to be pretty thin still, so I wasn't going to venture out to them ! Came back later in the afternoon and there was water showing on top of the ice from the warm day. Forecast for the next week doesn't look favorable for the ice fishermen. Fish safe!

hawgcatcher was there any open water or is the whole lake ice covered. Thanks for the report, and as pickeral said be carefull if you go. That's pretty thin ice and no fish is worth risking one's life.

The whole lake was frozen. Only thing i don't like is the snow on top now.I like to be able to see the ice when its that thin.

Thanks, maybe we will get a little wind so it will blow the snow off, they're calling for more snow on the weekend, I hate it when it snows on the ice. Good fishing and stay on top.

Checked the ice on Struble Lake today at 11:00 am, it had 2 1/2" to 3" of ice which isn't good enough for me, it's suppose to go below 10 degrees tonight so it might be alright by tomorrow.

Got out this morning.Fished for about 3 hrs Fish were biting kept about 20 crappies and half dozen perch. Fishin deeper water. Half dozen guys fishin shallow water. Talked to two guys that were fishin the shallow water they said they had a few hits and that was it. I held on for as long as i could was last one off. Couldn't see the shore line from the snow, wanted to get home before roads got to bad. Tomorrows another day. Oh and be careful ice is thin in spots I was on maybe 21/2"

Fished Struble today Kept about 40 crappies and a few perch. Pan size nothing real big. All caught in 10-12 feet of water. Going to try and find some better fish at Marsh Creek tomorrow.

Hit Struble on the 30th Good day Landed a 41/2 lb Bass Lost another at the hole that looked to be a couple more lbs. Kept 50 crappies and threw back to many to count. Couple of guys that never ice fished came out. Showed them the ropes they had a blast, you got it their hooked.
