I have been seeing a lot at a farm I goose hunt. They seem to love landing on the post and rail fences that are all over the property. Thinking about trying some dove decoys. Anyone ever used a dove decoy?

I have never Dove Hunted so I don't know much about decoys and what not. I saw a special on VS. last week and I was trying to do a lot of research to find some dove hunting spots in the area with no luck. If you feel like bringing a guy along with you I would be more then happy to pay for all the ammo.

ok. I'll ask my buddy. He is the one that has permission. I just tag along. He'll be back from vacation next week. By the way, monday the 27th is the day you can get the goose permits for chambers at the hibernia park office. I think its at 8 a.m. Kinda a tough time to get there but I'm gonna try.

Thanks, I appreciate you you even considering it. I am going to make plans to hit Hibernia before work on Monday. Do yo know what they charge? Is it for a one day permit or is it good for the season?

he's weird about that hunting spot. He won't get me in there for deer hunting. If not we could meet up and try the back end of struble. Seen quite a few there while goose hunting in recent years.

I used decoys out at Chalfant where I used to hunt with my dog (PE has since closed the property off because of new homes). The ones that I have are made of foam and you can either fix them in position or let them rotate on a rod in the wind. They work. Not sure where I got them. Probably Cabela's or Bass Pro. Another source is Lion Country Supply out near Penn State. They have a lot of dog training equip. and decoys.
