I hear the lake is opening up to boats next weekend. I have been suffering enough this past winter of no fishing. Could someone give me a little help on where to start at this time of the year. Or should I just head to the river

I haven't fished the Octoraro Reservoir in a few years but at one time it was my favorite bass lake. It might be worth a shot this weekend with the warm weather we are supposed to get. To locate the bass I usually start on the steeper banks and fish down to about 15ft. As the day progresses the fish should start moving shallower unless it's a cold nasty day. Don't forget to throughly fish the numerous lay downs around the lake. My go to lures would be a jig&pig, flippin tube and a t-rig or c-rig plastic lizard. Good luck if you go and give us a report on how you do, we don't get many reports from the Octoraro and we could use a couple. Thanks
