Struble has been stocked with pheasants this week for the up coming opening day. There was a kock ( you can’t say the real name with out being flagged on the board!)bird and hen bird walking around the parking lot this afternoon.

It still seems like perfect timing how every year boat ramp comes out right before bird season starts. Prime walleye fishing starts now. Would be nice if they could leave the ramp in until Thanksgiving. They stock all those walleye for nothing it seems like.

Maybe ask the PFBC if a group can "adopt" the lake and maybe clear an area that you could "beach" your boats.

Pheasants goes right into ducks. Just isn't a safe mix on the lake so probably a smart decision for everyone, but I would call it perfect conservation. Walleye fishermen out there catching skunks and keeping ducks and geese safe hehehehe

They stock pheasants to hunt and it is also a popular duck/goose hunting lake. If there was a launch for your boat you could go fish in some guys decoys but he may not be too happy You could probably coexist but the fishing there isn't good enough to be worth the risk.

As it stands right now you can only hunt a few "fringe" critters(fox, coyote, crow. maybe a few others)on Sundays in Pa. I believe "Pay to Hunt" places can also operate on Sundays...But in general in PA... NO deer, bear, turkey, waterfowl or "normal" small game on Sundays.
Next year we might get 3 Sundays 1 rifle deer, 1 archery deer and 1 sm game (I think), but that has to go through the elected officials in Harrisburg so don't hold your breath.
