Been looking to do pickerel fishing but I do not know which lake was better. I went last week with shiners and caught a 15 inch perch at Scott’s Run but no pickerel luck. Had no luck at Hopewell. Also should I try Chamber’s Lake for them?

I have not caught any pickerel out of hopewell lake, but I have heard they might be in there. I have caught a few at scotts run, but with the lake being drawn down, might be tough to get out on there. As for chambers, I fish this often, heard reports but haven't caught one. They become more active this time of year too.

there is a good population of pickerel in chambers. They tend to hang in the stump field end of the lake where the creek channel is. From the dock, go left all the way back to the back of the stump field, creek channel runs 5-10 feet from the bank along that side.
I've also caught them in the cove to the right of the stump field and around the little island to the right of that in the shallow flat.
They should be getting more active as the water cools down

I usually get one or two each time I fish Scott’s running my kayak. Got this one over the summer. I have seen them caught through the ice at hopewell.

I've never caught any pickerel at Hopewell but quite a few at Scotts Run and a few at Chambers. All while fishing for bass so i'm not really targeting them. A couple years ago I caught a very nice one that was 24".

Great photo and proof pickerel are in Scotts Run. I have caught a few on a Kastmaster from the bank.
There was a 22" one caught from a boat a few years ago. It was put back.
