After a day of grocery shopping, errands and lawn mowing I needed a little fishing therapy. Got to the lake around six pm and hiked into the back with my fly rod. Water has some green algae bloom of some sort and there were loose weeds, probably a result of the recent monsoons. Fishing was fair, I caught a handful of gills and a small perch and bass. Also lost several as I was fishing barbless. Took a really awkward fall when I backed into a rock pile I knew was there but forgot about in my tired state. Luckily I had the presents of mind to place my phone in a sandwich bag. Had to dry out some flies and bruised my knee, but all in all it was good to get out.Btw, the water level was as high as I've seen it.

If you asked if I was ok after I tumbled, then yes. Appreciated the concern either way.

I was talking to a fly fisherman back near the dam. Said he played professional football overseas. We talked a while about fishing. I don't remember him stumbling tho

I was up in the top, shallow end so it wasn't me. There was only one other boat nearby as the light was going by the time of the epic spill. Dumb stuff that happens when you are too tired!
