How's the fishing been this week? Last few times in the last month I've been out have been tough to say the least. Seems like the lake is getting way too crowded. I thought it was high pressured and crowded before! Been fishing the Schuylkill more to avoid it but I definitely want to get back to fishing Marsh Creek. The Schuylkill will be a torrent again this weekend thanks to all the rain and the debree will make it next to impossible.
Good luck!

I haven't fished it since March. Too many people hitting all of the same spots over and over and over and over......

Fished with two granddauthers Friday August 10; in three hours we landed 30 perch and one bluegill, and lost an other ten or so at the boat. Minnows and baby crawlers. Had we stayed on our spot, we could have caught a hundred.

Ay Henry what are looking to catch? As far as monster size panfish back in the 80s was the time to be here. Struble lake, octorara lake and coatesville resivior were the truth. I think under fishing have caused most lakes around here to get over populated and now it's sooooo many little ones people keep them. Now if you looking for nice fall and winter yellow perch muddy run lake. They hard to find but definitely definitely definitely worth it

Henry, from your statement it sounds like you're from the South. Even in SE PA fish don't grow nearly as large as they do down South. Not to mention we're the 5th largest metropolitan in the US. There's lots of fishing pressure in SE PA. Add in the fisherman who feel a need to keep everything they catch, the large fish DNA is not being returned to the lake. For Marsh Creek in particular, I believe the kayak and paddleboard traffic has made it more difficult to fish a larger area hence less fish are caught.
Despite what I stated, PA is a great place to live and fish. PA has more parks than any states except CA and AK which are both considerably larger. PA has a top-notch fish stocking program.

Marsh Creek is especially tough but like any high pressured lake the fish are there you just need to figure out their patterns and what they want. It may just be me but I'm not as concerned about the size of the fish I catch and enjoy the days fishing regardless of if I get skunked or not. Now I just have to figure out where the Catfish like to hide there and I'll be set. Good luck out there!
