Been out to Marsh creek a bunch of times this year and I don't feel like it's fishing the same as years past. It hasn't been bad just did not have the red hot June we typically have (in my opinion and experience)
Just wondering if anyone else has this opinion and why it might be occurring.

I've been out a few times and have had the same luck the past few years. I actually caught more and bigger fish when the water was green and had algae on top. I am a shallow water fisherman and these fish are deep now but with all the traffic I feel they move deep anyways...

I agree with Charles, I feel like when the water was pea green was the last time my buddy and I caught fish in substantial numbers and size. Recent years since then it's been harder and harder to have a productive day. I am a shallow water fisherman too, mostly wading but even if I take the inflatable boat out we fish less than 15 feet of water most of the time. We used to do really well with the "beat the bank" tactic both in numbers and size but in the last few years, it's been mostly dinks. We don't have electronics, so finding the structure in deeper water with the bathymetry map is challenging and all but eliminates finding pockets of suspended fish in more open water. Also, in years past we always found some sort pattern to the bite - particular lure, color, etc. but probably the last 3 years we've struggled finding what works. I just think we aren't finding the fish in the clearer water.

My favorite marsh creek techniques are polar opposites, frog fishing and dropshot fishing. If I cant catch em on one I can usually catch em on the other. This year the only luck I've had has been small since immediately post-spawn. The bigger fish just dont seem to be shallow at all, even at night, but for some reason I cant even catch any quality fish out deep either. My usual points and dropoffs have not produced for me yet. Gonna head out there sunday afternoon and try to figure something out. Seems like 3 fish should win the next TNT pretty easily considering only one boat has brought in a limit each of the first two if Im correct so hopefully I can figure em out and stop wasting my money
