Water was 73 and murky. Winds were really blowing. Got about a dozen bass. All were fat and 12-14" . Using a creature bait and caught a very large turtle.Never had that happen before. After I got my courage up I spent some time using the needle nose pliers wrestling that hook out. It was growling and clawing at the hook and I finally got it off. Am wondering if the garlic spray on my bait created the bite.

Turtles (mostly snapping I think) seem to get caught fairly often at Chambers. I've witnessed a handful and hear at least 4 or 5 stories a year. There are some enormous snapping turtles in there, I've had to hurry my topwater baits away from them on many occasions.
