gotta start charging batteries and getting the sled togather it sounds like,,,striped bass have moved on now,,,but it was a wild december with them in south jersey,,, fun while it lasted,,,ready for some hard water pan fish,,,if only MC would freeze..those crappies have been pretty much unmolested by ice fishermen for a couple years now,,,i could be wrong,, but i bet theres lots of em.
Any day now! Marsh Creek from the bridge to the big rock on Chalfont is capped. Struble needs a couple of windless nights to cap. Tackle Shack, up north, reports 5-6 inches on most lakes in that area. West Side Bait and Tackle reported that Frances Slocum, Poconos, is capped with 1 inch and growing. All my gear is ready, look forward to seeing you guys out there, been awhile since we walked the walk and drilled holes! Be safe and use good judgement! FYI: anyone looking for live bait in bulk try Bestbait.com, I got spikes from them, very lively !
well cdfish,,i like to bring all the rechargeable batteries in and charge them(drill, auger, etc),,maybe pick up a new set of ice cleats,(youll need em),,5 gal bucket with seat lid is nice for most everything else,,,buddy heater with plenty of gas,,,shelter if you have one,,,put it all in the jet sled and go,,,,dont forget rods and bait,LOL
