Hey all! I've been searching all fall for some wild browns and especially some native brookies while fly fishing, I just can't find any. I live near marsh creek and any information would be amazing. I'm not interested in spot burning so don't worry about that and if you don't want to say it on here any information would be greatly appreciated on my email. hockeyjoe81@gmail.com

A good starting point is tributaries of stocked streams for wild browns. For native brookies you need to find mountain streams that are some what remote. For me that is on the Game Lands + State Forests of the Blue Mountain here in Berks - closer to you I'd look around French Creek SP. The brookies you'll be lucky to find any over 7" - the wild browns I've caught up to 2 foot
The nice thing about the state land is you don't need permission from 20 people to fish a half mile of creek - like you do on most of the wild brown creeks in the area. Also you want to be careful that you don't wade through any spawning beds.

I second what icemole said. A lot of the browns have recently stopped spawning so you won't see them on the redds anymore, but doesn't mean you should be tromping thru the creeks. My best advice to getting browns on a fly is stealth. Stay low, quiet and usually out of the water. I fish for browns in most of my fishing, you just gotta get out there and find them.

Good advise above about not tramping on redds as well as being stealthy.
Joey,
You mentioned about fishing Indian Run in a previous thread. It definitely holds wild trout, so you were fishing in the right place. Most are small, like you would expect to find in a smaller wild trout stream. With the water being so low and clear right now, I would guess the fish saw/heard you coming and bolted or took off on your first cast over them.
If you have your heart set on Brookies aka natives, you can give Six Penny a try in French Creek State Park. It's a real small stream and mostly overgrown with foliage, but there are plenty of brookies in it. They are small, but they are really nice looking fish.
Good luck.
